JPI is seeking a Site Planning Specialist to join our team based in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. We’re looking for a detail‑oriented and highly organized individual to support initial site due diligence and planning efforts. This includes identifying site development constraints, proposing mitigation strategies, and supporting site design, infrastructure planning, and evaluating constructability for our multifamily projects. This role will manage multiple projects simultaneously, starting from initial site selection through schematic design.
Responsibilities include overseeing the site planning process from early design concepts during project pursuits while ensuring compliance with legal guidelines, safety standards, and environmental requirements. The role also involves conducting technical and feasibility studies and collaborating with clients, project teams, and consultants to deliver high‑quality results on schedule. You’ll collaborate with internal teams including land acquisition, design, and construction to enhance product delivery based on cross‑functional feedback.
This role will also involve external coordination with third‑party consultants as needed.
- Contribute to and oversee the site planning aspects of multifamily construction projects, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, schedule, and environmental standards.
- Assist in identifying and addressing zoning and permitting requirements, including easements and other regulatory considerations.
- Collaborate with internal teams and third‑party consultants—including development, construction operations, and design professionals—to define project requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Provide creative problem‑solving support to continuously improve the site planning process.
- Coordinate and present reports, proposals, and project updates to stakeholders.
- Evaluate and implement innovative materials, methods, and technologies to enhance project efficiency and sustainability.
- Lead and participate in site de‑risking exercises to identify potential issues and implement timely mitigation strategies.

Education, Work Experience, &Physical Requirements
- Two years of experience in a land development or site analyst role.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to identify and address schedule‑related challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues on multiple projects simultaneously.
