About the Role
A growing construction services team is seeking an experienced Construction Materials Technician II to support field and laboratory testing for major civil and commercial projects. This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy hands‑on work, fast‑paced environments, and opportunities for overtime.
This is a contract position with the option of long‑term engagement.
Compensation- $20/hr for candidates with 6 months–2 years of experience
- $25/hr for candidates with 5+ years of experience and relevant certifications
- Significant overtime potential during peak season
- Perform field and laboratory testing of:
Concrete, Soils, Asphalt, Aggregates, and Steel - Conduct onsite inspections and observations during construction activities
- Communicate with project managers, technicians, contractors, and client representatives
- Transport material samples to the laboratory with proper documentation
- Prepare daily written and digital reports
- Maintain clean equipment, vehicles, and work areas
- Follow strict safety protocols at all times
- 6+ months of construction materials testing experience
- ACI or DOT certifications (highly preferred)
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work extended hours outdoors in varying conditions
- 2+ certifications (ACI or DOT)
- Experience with nuclear density gauge testing
- Familiarity with soils, concrete, and asphalt testing procedures
- Fast‑paced environment with strong overtime potential

$20.00/hr to $25.00/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
