We are seeking a Civil Engineer with strong Industrial Safety experience to supervise structural steel erection and crane operations in industrial construction projects located in Arlington, Texas.
This role combines field engineering execution with site safety leadership.
The ideal candidate must reside in the United States, be bilingual (Spanish–English), and have experience working on industrial projects within the U.S.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise structural steel erection for industrial facilities (warehouses, manufacturing plants, industrial buildings).
- Oversee:
- Beam setting
- Crane operations and lifting activities
- Critical lifts
- Review and validate lift plans.
- Verify crane capacity, load charts, swing radius, ground conditions and outrigger setup.
- Supervise rigging crews and steel erection teams.
- Ensure compliance with construction drawings, structural details and erection sequences.
- Implement and enforce site safety program.
- Ensure full compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1926 (Construction Standards).
- Conduct Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and Pre-Task Plans.
- Lead daily safety meetings (Toolbox Talks).
- Oversee fall protection systems (Subpart M).
- Conduct rigging and equipment inspections.
- Lead internal and external safety audits.
- Support client safety audits (global client with strict compliance standards).
- Investigate incidents and near-misses.
- Enforce Stop Work Authority when required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (required).
- Proven experience in industrial construction projects within the United States.
- Current U.S. residency (required).
- Fully bilingual:
Spanish and English (required). - Hands‑on experience supervising:
- Crane operations
- Critical lifts
- Rigging activities
- Experience as Site Safety Supervisor or Safety Lead in industrial construction.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926, especially Subpart CC.
- OSHA 30 (Construction) – Required.
- OSHA 510 – Highly desirable.
- Experience supporting or leading safety audits.
- Independent Contractor / Professional Services agreement.
