Pay Rate: $38-$65 per hour, depending on experience
Per Diem: $2,800 per month
United Trades of America is currently seeking an experienced Traveling MEP Site Manager for an upcoming construction project in Jackson, Mississippi
. This position will lead the coordination and execution of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems on site. If you re a driven, solutions-focused leader with MEP experience in commercial or industrial construction, we want to hear from you.
This is a travel-based position
. Following the initial assignment in Jackson, future project locations may vary across the U.S.
As the MEP Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing on-site MEP activities from pre-start to completion. You ll support scheduling, coordination, subcontractor oversight, safety enforcement, and material logistics. This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and central to the success of the build.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with subcontractor/vendor evaluation, scope development, and procurement
- Manage and coordinate field activities for all MEP trades
- Schedule subcontractors and monitor installation progress
- Review and maintain up-to-date sets of all drawings (MEP, architectural, structural, etc.)
- Track material quantities, labor productivity, and progress reporting
- Coordinate jobsite safety; serve as Safety Officer if one is not assigned
- Lead project startup and closeout processes
- Assist with change order pricing, estimates, and billing reports
- Enforce quality and safety standards in accordance with company and project requirements
- Associate degree or equivalent work experience required
- 10+ years of construction experience, with 5+ in an MEP-focused leadership role
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems and ability to read technical drawings
- Experience in commercial or industrial construction environments
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable with scheduling tools
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to travel nationally for future projects
- Must pass a drug screen and background check
This is an on-site role requiring frequent walking, climbing, and physical activity. Candidates must be comfortable working in outdoor and active job site environments, in varying weather conditions.
