Description
The Project Superintendent is responsible for managing and coordinating all on-site activities of subcontractors, vendors, and material deliveries to ensure smooth and safe project progression. The role involves close coordination with the Project Manager and reports directly to the Director of Field Operations. The Superintendent plays a key role in maintaining project schedules and ensuring quality and compliance throughout the construction process.
Minimum Qualifications- Minimum of 5 years in a commercial construction trade role and 5 years as a Commercial Construction Superintendent.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Strong blueprint reading skills and understanding of project cost analysis.
- Ability to sequence work efficiently to maximize productivity.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to team goals and company values.
- Ensure all required permits, licenses, and safety notices are obtained and posted.
- Manage daily site access, including opening and securing the project site.
- Coordinate subcontractor sequencing and activities to maintain a safe work environment.
- Monitor construction quality and ensure compliance with code enforcement standards.
- Schedule inspections with city, county, and state authorities as needed.
- Collaborate with authorities to ensure code compliance.
- Assist in developing and updating the overall project schedule.
- Create and maintain weekly three‑week look‑ahead schedules.
- Provide weekly progress reports comparing actual progress to the master schedule.
- Document project progress with weekly photos.
- Lead weekly on‑site coordination meetings with subcontractors and issue follow‑up documentation.
- Conduct weekly safety meetings with subcontractor foremen.
- Review and approve “as‑built” record drawings upon project completion.
- Evaluate and approve subcontractor pay applications monthly.
- Meet with owners’ representatives or construction managers to review monthly pay requests.
- Review time and material vouchers for incidental work.
- Maintain strong communication and relationships with subcontractors, owners, and regulatory authorities.
This is a Permanent position based out of Dallas, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
Surface Pro, Company Truck, Gas Card $100 per month, cell phone reimbursement, gym open 24/7 to staff, PTO - 15 days (increases after 5 years of tenure), 8 major holidays, office closed between December 24th and the day after New Years. PTO credit for work during holidays. Birthday Day Off.
