Field Foreman

STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES develops and integrates products, engineering support, repair and maintenance services for owners, engineers and contractors. We provide specialty contracting services and in-house engineering support through our technologies and contracting divisions. With over 2,500 employees, we serve the Commercial, Public, Transportation Industrial, and Power markets. VSL Civil Construction, a subsidiary, is recruiting for a Field Foreman supporting the Concrete Structure Repair Team based out of Fort Worth, Texas.

• Provide leadership on field projects of various sizes nationwide.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Project Engineers, and other leaders within VSL Civil Construction.
• Oversee and manage overall project safety and contribute to the Company’s 24/7 safety culture.
• Motivate team members to work together to accomplish tasks, schedule and coordinate work activities, and assign work to field crew employees on specific projects.
• Ensure crews operate tools and equipment in a safe, proper, and productive manner.
• Provide training and assistance to field managers and crews for task performance.
• Assist Project Managers in evaluating production rates.
• Complete essential paperwork clearly and accurately.

• High school degree or equivalent.
• Prior experience on elevated concrete structures and concrete-related work is highly preferred. Relevant experience may include: general concrete repair (demolition, forming, placement), carbon-fiber reinforcement installation, epoxy injection, joint replacement, bonded PT installation & grouting, unbonded PT repair, rebar/PT installation, hydraulic jacking.
• Ability to travel up to 100% with weekend trips home provided every 3 weeks.
• Proven ability to manage complex construction work and read, interpret, and follow construction drawings and contract specifications; resolve discrepancies as needed.
• Commitment to safety and operating principles.
• Experience in schedule and task management; effective communication with customers, crews, and project teams.
• Intermediate computer and construction math skills; ability to speak, read and write in English. Bi-lingual fluency is beneficial.
• Valid Driver's License and ability to pass background screenings.
