Position Overview
The Project Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all on-site construction activities, including subcontractors, vendors, and material deliveries. This role ensures projects are executed safely, on schedule, and in compliance with quality and regulatory standards. The Superintendent partners closely with the Project Manager and reports directly to the Director of Field Operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day on-site operations, including site access, security, and logistics
* Coordinate and sequence subcontractor work to maintain productivity and site safety
* Ensure all permits, licenses, and safety signage are obtained and properly displayed
* Monitor construction quality and enforce compliance with building codes and project specifications
* Schedule and coordinate inspections with city, county, and state authorities
* Collaborate with inspectors and regulatory agencies to maintain compliance
* Assist in developing and maintaining the overall project schedule
* Create and manage weekly three-week look-ahead schedules
* Track project progress and provide weekly updates against the master schedule
* Document site progress through weekly reporting and photography
* Lead weekly coordination meetings with subcontractors and issue follow-up documentation
* Conduct weekly safety meetings with subcontractor foremen
* Review and approve subcontractor pay applications and time/material vouchers
* Meet with owners or construction managers to review monthly billing and progress
* Review and approve as-built drawings at project completion
* Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and project stakeholders
Qualifications
* Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Commercial Construction Superintendent
* Additional 5+ years of experience in a commercial construction trade
* Strong knowledge of ground-up construction, tenant improvement, and renovations
* Proficiency with construction management tools (e.g., Procore)
* Working knowledge of OSHA standards (OSHA 30 preferred)
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and cost reports
* Experience sequencing work to maximize efficiency and productivity
Skills & Competencies
* Strong leadership and team coordination abilities
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and safety
* Solid understanding of construction processes and site supervision
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
Preferred Experience
* Background with a General Contractor
* Experience in commercial and industrial construction projects
* Familiarity with mixed-use developments and site construction
Experience Level
* Intermediate to Senior Level

This is a Permanent position based out of Dallas, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
