Senior Estimator

About the Role

We’re growing our commercial roofing department and are looking for a Commercial Roof Senior Estimator. The role focuses on preparing accurate estimates, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring compliance with construction codes.

• Analyze projects to determine scope, schedule tasks, and identify required equipment.
• Identify missing or incorrect items in bid documents and adjust designs to meet code requirements.
• Determine appropriate subcontractors, coordinate with them, and manage pricing and delivery availability.
• Select cost‑effective materials, equipment, and labor methods, using trade‑specific estimating calculations.
• Develop and maintain excellent relationships with clients.
• Produce accurate estimates on time to support sales goals.
• Measure roofs using aerial images, digital files, sketches, and on‑site visits.
• Assist the Chief Estimator as needed and defend pricing decisions.

• 5+ years experience as a commercial roofing estimator.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Familiarity with BUR, Modified Bitumen, Standing Seam, Single‑Ply, Sheet Metal Flashing, and other systems.
• Experience with EDGE estimating software is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and client sketches.
• Strong mathematical and logical aptitude; high attention to detail.
