Austin Bridge & Road is currently seeking an experienced Concrete Paving Foreman or Superintendent to lead heavy civil paving projects in North Texas
. This role is critical for managing daily field operations, ensuring quality and safety, coordinating subcontractors, and maintaining strong relationships with project stakeholders.
- Lead day-to-day field operations for concrete paving projects, ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and safety standards.
- Implement and enforce jobsite safety protocols, conduct hazard assessments, and coordinate with safety personnel and inspectors.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to plan site logistics, including paving sequences, equipment staging, and traffic control.
- Develop and manage daily and weekly paving schedules, ensuring efficient use of crews, equipment, and materials.
- Monitor concrete placement, finishing, curing, and jointing to ensure compliance with specifications and high-quality standards.
- Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery and execution of work.
- Provide technical guidance to resolve field issues and optimize paving methods and productivity.
- Track labor, equipment, and material costs, and assist in schedule and budget adjustments as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable construction laws, codes, and company policies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, inspectors, engineers, and vendors.
- Support team development through training, mentorship, and performance feedback.
- Oversee project closeout activities, including punch lists, final inspections, and documentation.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in heavy civil construction with a focus on concrete paving (DOT, municipal, or large‑scale infrastructure projects).
- Proven leadership in managing paving crews and subcontractors on complex roadway or infrastructure projects.
- Proficient in construction management software (e.g., HCSS Heavy Job) and daily reporting tools.
- Strong commitment to jobsite safety and quality control.
- Willingness to work night shifts and extended hours as required by project demands.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
- High School Diploma/GED or higher.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Must be available for on‑call work as needed.
