Construction Estimator

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our growing team in Dallas, Texas. The Estimator will play a critical role in the preconstruction process by preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project specifications, soliciting subcontractor and supplier pricing, and helping secure profitable commercial construction projects.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of commercial construction practices, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

• Prepare detailed conceptual, schematic, design-development, and final construction estimates for commercial construction projects.
• Review plans, specifications, and bid documents to determine project scope and requirements.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and cost analyses for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted work.
• Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor and supplier bids.
• Develop comprehensive bid proposals and project budgets.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving alternatives.
• Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, architects, engineers, and clients throughout the preconstruction process.
• Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and scope review meetings as required.
• Maintain current knowledge of market conditions, labor rates, material pricing, and industry trends.
• Assist in preparing project schedules, logistics plans, and preliminary project execution strategies.
• Support contract negotiations and project handoff to operations teams following award.
• Maintain accurate estimating databases and historical cost information.

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
• 3+ years of estimating experience with a commercial general contractor.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, materials, and building systems.
• Experience estimating projects ranging from $1 million to $50+ million.
• Proficiency with estimating software such as Bluebeam, Plan Swift, Sage Estimating, OST, or similar platforms.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.

• $90,000 - $110,000 Base Salary
