Equipment Operator (Concrete Experience Required)

Location: Dallas, Texas

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay: $25 - $30 per hour (DOE)

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator with concrete experience to support our concrete and civil construction projects. This role involves operating heavy equipment to assist with site preparation, grading, excavation, and concrete placement. The ideal candidate has solid field experience and understands how equipment operation impacts concrete quality and production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, skid steers, loaders, and backhoes safely and efficiently
  • Perform excavation, grading, trenching, and material handling for concrete projects
  • Assist with site prep for foundations, slabs, footings, and flatwork
  • Support concrete crews during forming, pouring, and placement operations
  • Read and interpret blueprints, grade stakes, and site plans
  • Conduct daily pre‑trip inspections and basic maintenance of equipment
  • Monitor and adjust equipment operation to maintain grade and alignment
  • Load, move, and place materials safely across the job site
  • Follow all OSHA and company safety protocols at all times
  • Maintain clean and organized job site conditions
Qualifications & Skills
  • 2+ years of heavy equipment operation experience (excavator, skid steer, loader, etc.)
  • Experience working on concrete projects (foundations, slabs, footings, or utilities) preferred
  • Ability to read site plans, grade stakes, and layouts
  • Strong understanding of equipment safety and operation standards
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in physically demanding, outdoor conditions
Work Environment
  • Outdoor construction sites in varying weather conditions
  • Fast‑paced, physically demanding work
  • May require overtime and weekend shifts depending on project schedules
