Superintendent – Site Development & Heavy Civil Construction
Location:

- Oversee daily field operations for site development and site preparation projects including earthwork, grading, excavation, underground utilities, paving, and storm drainage.
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, equipment, and field crews to maintain project schedules and productivity.
- Lead site safety efforts and enforce OSHA standards, company safety policies, and project-specific safety requirements.
- Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Project Engineers, inspectors, survey crews, and owners to ensure successful project execution.
- Review project drawings, specifications, schedules, and work plans to ensure work is completed according to contract requirements.
- Monitor production, manpower, equipment utilization, and material deliveries to maintain efficient field operations.
- Oversee underground utility installations including water, sewer, storm drain, and detention systems.
- Conduct daily meetings, safety briefings, and subcontractor coordination meetings.
- Identify and resolve field issues, conflicts, and delays while maintaining quality and schedule expectations.
- Maintain daily reports, site documentation, punch lists, and progress updates.
- Support inspections, testing, and quality control activities throughout all phases of construction.
- Assist with project closeout activities including final walkthroughs and turnover coordination.
- 5+ years of experience in heavy civil, site development, or infrastructure construction.
- Strong field leadership experience managing earthwork, utilities, grading, paving, and civil construction operations.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
- Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and managing fast-paced construction sites.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and heavy equipment operations.
- Proficient with construction management software such as Procore, HCSS, Bluebeam, or Microsoft Office preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
