Scott Humphrey has partnered with a reputable and expanding commercial general contractor in Dallas to identify a skilled Commercial Superintendent. This role will oversee large-scale, ground-up construction projects throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth area. The company places a strong emphasis on clear communication, confident leadership, and fostering a calm, collaborative jobsite culture.

Position Overview

The Superintendent will manage daily on-site operations for commercial construction projects, ensuring strict adherence to safety standards, quality expectations, and project timelines. This role requires a professional who can effectively coordinate subcontractors, engage respectfully with hospital staff, and represent the general contractor with confidence and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily field operations for healthcare and commercial construction projects
  • Coordinate subcontractors, manage sequencing, and monitor productivity
  • Enforce safety standards and maintain a clean, organized jobsite
  • Build strong relationships with clients, hospital staff, design teams, and trade partners
  • Prepare daily reports, conduct site walks, and lead OAC (Owner-Architect-Contractor) meetings
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including logs, inspections, and field communications
  • Support project scheduling and proactively identify potential impacts to key milestones
  • Ensure quality control across all phases of construction
  • Promote a jobsite culture grounded in accountability, professionalism, and teamwork
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (preferred)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent in commercial construction
  • Strong communication skills with a composed, professional presence
  • Proven ability to collaborate with owners, architects, subcontractors, and medical staff
  • Familiarity with construction management tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, and scheduling software
  • Willingness to relocate to the DFW area (preferred, but not required)
