About the Job.
The Taktical Control Specialist (Construction Scheduler) builds and maintains detailed construction schedules, analyzes schedule logic, tracks progress, and identifies risks. This role supports project teams with planning, forecasting, and recovery strategies, ensuring schedules align with contractual requirements and best practices. The Specialist provides schedule updates, reports, and visual presentations, and works closely with project teams to deliver successful outcomes.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities- Validate initial project phasing plans using JPI Production System best practice ensuring the plan built by upstream functions holds true.
- Create visuals for site phases, building rough and finish zones.
- Build and maintain detailed construction schedules and OPC plan based on predefined nomenclature.
- Analyze schedule logic, sequencing and constraints.
- Track progress, identify schedule risks and impacts.
- Provide schedule updates, reports, and visual presentations.
- Support project teams with planning, forecasting and recovery strategies.
- Ensure schedules align with contractual requirements and best practices.
- Review OPC for allocated projects daily to ensure latest site progress is captured.
- Continuously run plan health diagnostics, check for logic/tie breakdowns and fix as needed.
- Update OPC plan/resequence per feedback from Technical Project Lead.
- Ensure latest plan reflected in OPC at all times.
- Troubleshoot/support field ops team with OPC technical concerns.
- Authorized to make changes to OPC plan per consultation with Technical Project Lead and Project Construction Manager.
- Verify/validate production reports generated by status updates to OPC.
- Collaborate with RT Ops team to manage and troubleshoot the schedule.
- Adjust logic and address tie breakdowns during construction phase.
- Act as a representative and advocate of JPI’s culture and guiding principles.
- 5 day (Monday-Friday) Physical Co‑location.
- Daily Collaboration.
- Implement organized plans and break down work into clear attainable steps.
- Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements Construction Experience
- 2–5 years in one or more of the following roles:
Project Manager/Assistant Project Manager, Superintendent/Assistant Superintendent, Project Engineer.
- 1–2 years building and maintaining schedules with construction experience, or
- 2–5 years of construction scheduling experience without construction management experience.
- Construction‑related degree preferred.
- Equivalent real‑world construction experience acceptable.
- Non‑construction degrees without construction or scheduling experience will not be considered.
