About the Role
Aegis seeks an experienced project estimator with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) estimating experience to join our team in Dallas, TX. This individual will be a member of the onsite cost and change management team and is responsible for reviewing RFIs, owner change directives, and field directives, providing cradle-to-grave ownership of all cost impacts. This includes preparing rough orders of magnitude (ROM) for owner discussion;
tracking, reviewing, and negotiating contractor change order requests; and preparing detailed change orders for owner review and processing of contractor change orders.
- Perform accurate, thorough, and timely quantity takeoffs using company format, detail, and coding for CSI division systems for all levels of project change documents.
- Provide information to senior estimators and change managers to develop accurate and concise clarifications and assumptions associated with change order initiating events.
- Develop accurate and concise clarifications and assumptions with the project management team’s assistance.
- Obtain clarification on change documents from architects and engineers when necessary.
- Solicit and analyze subcontractor and vendor pricing input when required.
- Perform technical/plan review when required.
- Consider and understand problems, then identify appropriate solutions.
- Accurately assess and plan takeoff workload.
- Be extremely proficient in all computer software programs used in preconstruction with particular emphasis on estimating software (e.g., MC2, On-Screen Takeoff, Paydirt, iSqFt, etc.).
- Bachelor of Science degree in construction management or engineering, and at least 5 years of related work experience.
- Ability to use estimating software (like MC2), bid management, online plan rooms, database applications, and the Microsoft Suite.
- Proficient with computer software programs used in preconstruction with particular emphasis on estimating software (e.g., MC2, On-Screen Takeoff, Paydirt, iSqFt, etc.).
- Knowledgeable in the majority or all of the following: civil/site construction, foundation and structural systems, exterior building wall systems, mechanical and electrical systems, and the costs of these systems.
- Mission‑critical/data center experience preferred.

Pay range: 95, USD per year (Dallas, TX)
