Position Overview
An established and growing commercial general contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its team. This organization has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects across a diverse portfolio including industrial, healthcare, multifamily, hospitality, corporate interiors, office, retail, and community developments. Responsibilities- Lead projects through all phases of construction, from preconstruction through final turnover.
- Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, forecasts, and cost reports.
- Manage subcontractor procurement, buyout, and contract administration.
- Review drawings, specifications, and project documents for completeness and constructability.
- Oversee project financials, including cost control, forecasting, change management, and profitability.
- Negotiate and manage change orders with owners and subcontractors.
- Coordinate closely with Superintendents to ensure schedule, quality, and safety goals are achieved.
- Lead owner meetings and maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure project compliance with contract requirements and company standards.
- Manage project risks and proactively resolve issues before they impact project performance.
- Oversee project closeout activities including punch list completion, turnover documentation, and warranty coordination.
- Mentor and develop Project Engineers and Assistant Project Managers.
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager within commercial construction.
- Proven experience managing projects ranging from $10M to $100M+.
- Strong understanding of construction means, methods, and project delivery processes.
- Experience with negotiated, CMAR, design-build, and hard-bid projects preferred.
- Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong financial management and forecasting experience.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders while maintaining project schedules and budgets.
