A leading commercial General Contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role is responsible for managing project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, client relationships, and project teams while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities- Lead projects from preconstruction through construction, commissioning, and closeout.
- Manage project budgets, cost forecasting, financial reporting, pay applications, and change orders.
- Procure and manage subcontractors, including scope development, buyout, and contract administration.
- Develop and maintain project schedules in partnership with the Superintendent, monitoring progress and mitigating delays.
- Coordinate permitting, municipal approvals, and regulatory compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead Owner/Architect/Contractor (OAC) meetings and serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and project stakeholders.
- Collaborate with estimating, preconstruction, and field teams on planning, logistics, and project execution.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and industry partners while supporting business development efforts.
- Ensure projects meet contract requirements, quality standards, and client expectations.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 5–10 years of commercial construction project management experience, including projects up to $50 million.
- Experience with healthcare, higher education, K-12, or general commercial construction preferred.
- Strong knowledge of project budgeting, scheduling, cost forecasting, subcontractor management, and contract administration.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, Project Sight, and related construction management software.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while building strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal project teams.
