Lead Complex Mechanical Projects with a Growing Team
Are you an experienced piping or mechanical construction leader looking for your next challenge? We're seeking a Piping Superintendent to oversee commercial mechanical projects, lead field operations, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who enjoys mentoring teams, solving complex challenges, and working with modern construction technology on large-scale commercial projects.
What You'll DoAs a Piping Superintendent, you'll oversee field operations and play a key role in the successful execution of commercial mechanical projects.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead, manage, mentor, and develop field personnel to achieve project goals.
- Plan, organize, and direct all phases of the contracted piping and mechanical scope.
- Coordinate daily activities with project teams, general contractors, inspectors, and other trades.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers while providing exceptional service.
- Attend coordination meetings and proactively resolve scheduling and installation conflicts.
- Ensure all piping installations meet project specifications, quality standards, and applicable mechanical codes.
- Manage manpower, materials, equipment, and production schedules to maintain project timelines.
- Monitor job site safety and ensure compliance with company policies and industry best practices.
- Utilize construction technology and project management software to improve communication, documentation, and project execution.
- 5+ years of experience leading commercial mechanical or piping construction projects.
- Proven success managing field operations on large-scale, multi-million-dollar commercial projects.
- Experience with hydronic piping systems, including chillers, boilers, and water-source heat pump systems.
- Strong understanding of commercial mechanical piping installation and construction practices.
- Active Journeyman or Master Mechanical or Plumbing License preferred.
- OSHA 30 Certification preferred.
- Working knowledge of IMC, IPC, IBC, local building codes, and construction safety standards.
- Experience managing plumbing systems and/or HVAC air distribution systems is a plus.
- Familiarity with construction management technology such as Bluebeam, Procore, BIM 360, Field Wire, Crew Connect, Open Space, or similar platforms.
- Willingness to travel to project sites throughout Florida as needed.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Lead exciting commercial mechanical and piping projects from start to finish.
