A leading electrical contractor is seeking an experienced Chief Electrical Estimator to lead preconstruction and estimating efforts across its Texas operations.

Reporting into senior leadership, the Chief Estimator will oversee all estimating and preconstruction functions throughout Texas, helping drive strategic project pursuits while ensuring consistent, profitable execution.

You will work closely with Operations, Executive Leadership, Project Management teams, General Contractors, and key industry partners to secure high-value projects and maintain a strong pipeline of work.

• Lead all estimating and preconstruction activities across Texas.
• Develop bid strategies and provide go/no-go recommendations.
• Manage conceptual budgets, design-build estimates, and competitive hard bids.
• Review labor productivity assumptions, pricing strategies, and risk profiles.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Mentor and develop estimating personnel.
• Present estimate reviews to executive leadership.
• Support project turnover and collaboration with operations teams.
• Monitor market trends, labor conditions, and competitive intelligence.
• Establish best practices and consistency throughout the estimating department.

• 15+ years of electrical construction experience.
• Proven experience leading estimating teams and major pursuits.
• Strong background in commercial and mission-critical/data center projects.
• Demonstrated success securing large-scale electrical contracts.
• Advanced proficiency with Accubid, Trimble, Bluebeam, Procore, and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
