Flex Tech is hiring an experienced Senior Project Manager (SPM) to provide executive-level leadership on large-scale electrical construction projects in the Dallas–Fort Worth (DFW) area. If you have a PMP certification and a proven track record managing complex, multi-million-dollar electrical projects, this role puts you in charge of delivery, financials, and client relationships across commercial, healthcare, industrial, and mission-critical work.

About the Senior Project Manager Role

The Senior Project Manager leads the execution of high-impact, complex electrical construction projects from inception to completion—delivering on time, within budget, and in scope. This role provides executive-level leadership for large-scale commercial, healthcare, industrial, mission-critical, and complex projects ranging from $25M to $150M+. You will oversee multiple concurrent projects, project teams, and client relationships while driving profitability, operational excellence, and strategic growth, all in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and OSHA safety standards.

Project Manager Responsibilities
  • Lead multiple large-scale electrical construction projects simultaneously, from setup through execution, monitoring, and closeout.
  • Define project scope, goals, and key performance metrics in alignment with business objectives.
  • Establish, track, and forecast multi-million-dollar budgets, managing cost variances, labor productivity, and cash flow.
  • Manage Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and project support staff, assigning priorities and coaching junior team members.
  • Develop and maintain executive-level client and general contractor relationships, acting as the central point of contact for clients, vendors, and leadership.
  • Manage contract negotiations, change orders, scope revisions, and risk mitigation strategies, maintaining change logs to minimize disruption.
  • Model risks, identify critical bottlenecks, and develop comprehensive contingency plans.
  • Coordinate with preconstruction, estimating, BIM/VDC, prefabrication, and field operations teams.
  • Drive project safety, quality, and schedule performance, including site inspections to guarantee high-quality installations.
  • Review contracts to limit company liability and verify vendor and subcontractor compliance with statements of work.
  • Mentor and develop future project leadership.
Senior Project Manager Qualifications
  • 10+ years of progressively responsible project management experience in commercial electrical construction.
  • Proven success managing electrical construction projects exceeding $25M.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, an Electrical Trade Diploma, or equivalent experience (Bachelor’s preferred).
  • PMP certification.
  • Deep understanding of NEC codes, contract law, low/medium-voltage systems, scheduling, project controls, and design-build project delivery.
  • High fluency in industry-standard software such as Bluebeam Revu, Procore, and estimating tools (e.g., Accubid).
  • Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and maintain composure under high-pressure conditions.
  • Experience with healthcare, data center, aviation, stadium, or large commercial projects preferred.
