The Project Executive, Data Centers leads, coordinates, and delivers multiple large‑scale, mission‑critical data center projects across Building US. This senior leadership role is accountable for overall project performance, client relationships, and business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities Project Leadership & Delivery Oversight- Lead and oversee multiple data center projects, ensuring alignment with Building US standards for safety, quality, schedule, and cost
- Provide strategic direction to project teams across all phases including preconstruction, execution, commissioning, and closeout
- Serve as a senior resource to teams in resolving complex project challenges, including cost, schedule, quality, and risk management
- Conduct regular project reviews and audits to ensure financial accuracy, schedule adherence, and overall team health
- Ensure successful delivery of mission‑critical facilities, including hyperscale, enterprise, and colocation data centers
- Oversee integration of complex MEP systems including electrical distribution, cooling infrastructure, redundancy systems, and commissioning requirements
- Partner with General Superintendents and MEP leaders to ensure execution strategies support uptime, performance, and client expectations
- Drive alignment between design, construction, and commissioning to ensure seamless project turnover
- Lead pursuit strategy and actively participate in identifying and securing new data center opportunities
- Partner with Business Development, Marketing, and Preconstruction teams to lead proposals, estimating, and client presentations
- Demonstrate strong conceptual estimating capability and deep understanding of mission‑critical cost drivers
- Lead negotiation of contracts with owners and trade partners to mitigate risk and optimize project outcomes
- Own project financial performance, ensuring accurate forecasting, reporting, and profitability across all assigned projects
- Guide teams on buyout strategies, subcontractor selection, and cost management practices
- Identify and mitigate project risks proactively, ensuring alignment with contract terms and company objectives
- Drive strategies that enhance fee opportunities and optimize financial outcomes
- Own and develop senior‑level client relationships across the data center and mission‑critical market
- Ensure project teams maintain strong, long‑term partnerships with clients, design teams, and trade partners
- Drive high levels of client satisfaction and repeat business
- Represent Building US as a trusted advisor and partner in the delivery of complex projects
- Attract, lead, coach, and develop high‑performing project teams, including Project Managers, Superintendents, and support staff
- Build and scale teams capable of delivering complex, high‑growth data center projects
- Create a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Support leadership development and succession planning across the organization
- Promote and ensure consistent use of Building US resources and best practices, including VDC, Lean construction, sustainability, and prefabrication strategies
- Drive adoption of innovative construction methodologies and technologies to improve efficiency and outcomes
- Ensure consistent execution of Building US policies, procedures, and operational standards
- Champion Building US’s safety‑first culture and ensure industry‑leading safety performance across all projects
- Ensure quality standards and inspection processes are consistently executed
- Act as an ambassador of Building US culture, values, and leadership expectations
- 14+ years of experience in construction, with significant experience in data center or mission‑critical projects
- Proven success leading multiple large, complex projects simultaneously
- Strong experience in preconstruction, estimating, and contract negotiation
- Deep understanding of construction financials, forecasting, and risk management
- OSHA certification required (OSHA 10 minimum; OSHA 30 preferred)
