JobObjective
The Construction Coordinator provides administrative and project coordination support to the Construction Manager and assists with the planning, tracking, and completion of construction projects.
Duties And Responsibilities- Provide day-to-day project and administrative support to the Construction Manager.
- Maintain project schedules, trackers, status reports, and construction documentation.
- Track project milestones, deadlines, deliverables, and open items.
- Coordinate communication and documentation with internal teams, contractors, vendors, architects, and suppliers.
- Assist with scheduling project meetings, contractor/vendor calls, and site activities.
- Maintain construction files, contracts, drawings, proposals, change orders, permits, invoices, purchase orders, and closeout documentation.
- Assist with purchase orders, invoice tracking, coding, and reconciliation.
- Track project costs, commitments, and change orders as needed.
- Follow up with contractors and vendors on outstanding documentation or project needs.
- Assist with bids, proposals, contractor quotes, and project comparisons.
- Support project updates and reporting.
- Assist with project closeout documentation, warranties, and punch-list items.
- Identify issues or delays and elevate them to the Construction Manager as needed.
Required Experience and
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate degree or coursework in Construction Management, Business Administration, Project Management, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in construction coordination, project coordination, facilities, property management, or related project support preferred.
- Experience managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with purchase orders, invoices, contracts, construction documentation, or project budgets preferred.
- Strong organization and attention to detail.
- Strong follow-up and follow-through.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with contractors, vendors, and internal business partners.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to elevate issues when needed.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience supporting commercial construction, retail construction, facilities, or corporate construction projects.
- Familiarity with construction drawings, change orders, RFIs, submittals, purchase orders, and project closeout.
- Experience working with general contractors, architects, vendors, and suppliers.
- Experience with construction or project management software.
