Salary: $130,000 - $145,000 Annually + 20% Annual Performance Bonus

Role Overview

The Electrical Constructability Manager – VDC/BIM oversees and manages the constructability phase of construction projects, partnering with internal departments and external customers to ensure company construction standards are implemented through the detailing process. This role manages coordination, quality control, and overall project execution across the division.

The Electrical Constructability Manager focuses on divisional leadership and cross-functional coordination, coaching, mentoring, and developing detailing staff across multiple locations while leading varied projects that span multiple business functions and organizational units to satisfactory completion. This is an onsite role based in the DFW, Texas area.

This role may be filled at varying levels based on the candidate's skills, experience, and overall qualifications. Final title, level, and compensation will be determined through the interview and assessment process and will be aligned with internal equity and external market benchmarks.

Core Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of constructability for the division
  • Implement the company's construction standards for all projects through the detailing process
  • Ensure quality control standards are met throughout project execution
  • Initiate constructability kick-off meetings
  • Coach, mentor, and develop assigned staff across different locations
  • Identify performance inefficiencies, issues, and risks
  • Lead varying projects that involve multiple business functions and organizational units to satisfactory completion
  • Develop realistic deliverables, timelines, and measures of success; determine and allocate resources; communicate progress with key stakeholders
  • Report implementation progress and provide feedback to divisional management
  • Implement industry build standards and changes; maintain current knowledge of industry standards and best practices
  • Oversee the budgeting process, including RFPs
Required Background
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 10 years of related experience, including project/people management experience, or trade apprentice program completion and 8 years of related field experience
  • Field Foreman/General Foreman experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Ability to manage a distributed/multi-location team supporting projects across various geographical locations
  • Ability to promote strong working relationships with internal team members
  • Knowledgeable of the design and coordination process and the appropriate timing for constructability guidance input
  • Ability to set deadlines and adhere to project schedules
  • Working knowledge of applicable AEC, BIM, and CAD software (Navisworks, Revit, AutoCAD)
