ROLE OVERVIEWThe Project Manager is the operational hub of the 500MW data center project. This individual owns the master schedule, subcontract management, change order process, RFI/submittal workflow, and daily coordination between all project stakeholders.
This is a high-velocity, high-accountability role on one of the largest construction projects in the region. The PM must simultaneously manage a complex schedule, a large subcontractor base, an active design process, and owner expectations — all while supporting the field team's need for timely information and decisions.
KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Develop, maintain, and update the master P6 schedule; hold all parties accountable to milestones
- Lead weekly OAC meetings, subcontractor coordination meetings, and internal team huddles
- Own the full RFI process from issuance through response and field distribution
- Manage the submittal log and ensure design team review turnarounds meet schedule needs
- Oversee all subcontract scoping, buyout, award, and administration
- Manage the project change log; evaluate cost and schedule impact of all potential changes
- Prepare monthly owner reports, schedule narratives, and cost updates
- Interface with the Project Controls Manager on pay applications, budget tracking, and forecasting
- Manage procurement tracking for all long-lead equipment from PO through delivery
- Coordinate permitting milestones, inspection scheduling, and AHJ relationships
- Review and approve subcontractor pay applications for submission to the owner
- Chair daily huddles during peak construction to resolve design, logistics, and field conflicts
- Manage project communication log and ensure timely responses to all owner correspondence
- 10+ years of construction project management experience
- 3+ years on large data center, industrial, or mission-critical projects
- Proficiency in Procore, Primavera P6, and Bluebeam
- Experience managing subcontract buyout on projects over $150M
- Experience managing projects over $200M in construction value
- Data center or hyperscale project background strongly preferred
- Experience with CPM scheduling and schedule recovery plans
- PMP certification
