The Project Engineer, Construction Services is part of Sevan's general contracting team, and supports Project Managers and field staff in planning, coordinating, and executing commercial construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. This role is critical in ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with all safety and quality standards. This role is based in our Plano, TX office, with up to 50% travel required as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support full project lifecycle from preconstruction through closeout in partnership with the Project Manager or Senior Project Manager.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules (MS Project or Primavera P6) while tracking milestones and critical path items.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, drawing logs, meeting minutes, and document revisions to ensure accurate and timely communication.
  • Help solicit, evaluate, and coordinate subcontractors and suppliers to keep work aligned with schedule and scope.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, invoice review, pay applications, and change order pricing and tracking.
  • Participate in site walks to verify work meets plans, specifications, and quality standards; track punch list items and corrective actions.
  • Assist with permitting, utility coordination, material procurement, and long-lead item tracking.
  • Attend OAC meetings, provide progress updates, and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and inspectors.
  • Support final inspections, as-builts, O&M manuals, warranties, and turnover documentation.
  • Gain hands‑on experience across scheduling, budgeting, field operations, and client coordination in a fast‑paced project environment.
  • Additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in construction management, construction science, or relative program.
  • 2+ years related professional experience and/or training.
  • Familiarity with construction documents, processes, and project lifecycle.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and email; and must have the capability of becoming proficient with various Programs and Applications related to the work such as Smart Sheet, Procore, Building Connected, and other project management software.
  • OSHA 30, or ability to acquire, is required.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Work Conditions & Travel:

This is an in-office role based in Plano, TX, with up to 50% national travel as needed.
