Project Manager - Commercial Construction

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead construction and commercial building projects from inception through closeout. The successful candidate will manage schedules, budgets, subcontractors and client relationships to deliver safe, high-quality projects on time and within budget. Experience in healthcare and school projects is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead planning, scheduling and execution of construction and commercial projects, ensuring scope, budget and timeline objectives are met.
  • Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts and cost-control measures; review and approve invoices and change orders.
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors, vendors and internal teams; oversee procurement and material delivery schedules.
  • Maintain clear, proactive communication with clients, architects, engineers and stakeholders; provide regular progress reports and issue resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes and contract requirements; conduct site inspections and quality assurance reviews.
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies; manage change management processes and dispute resolution.
  • Prepare and review project documentation including contracts, RFPs, RFIs, submittals and as-built records.
  • Mentor junior staff and promote best practices in project management, scheduling and site operations.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management experience in construction or commercial building projects; proven track record delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Direct experience managing healthcare and/or school projects strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, Procore or similar) and proficiency with MS Office.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, contract administration, estimating and cost control.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
  • Relevant certifications (PMP, CCM, or equivalent) and OSHA/health & safety certifications are a plus.
