Position: Field Data Tech (Residential Construction) - Dallas Area

Field Data Technician

Are you reliable, hands-on, comfortable with technology, and interested in building a career in construction?

This is not a traditional construction labor role. As a Field Data Technician, you will spend each day capturing critical visual construction data, maintaining jobsite readiness, supporting minor field needs, and helping ensure our communities operate Closer. Cleaner. Safer.

This is an entry-level opportunity with a clear development path for someone who is organized, consistent, tech-savvy, and excited to learn the construction business from the ground up.

The Field Data Technician is a critical onsite role supporting AiWB's technology-enabled construction model. This position serves as the physical "eyes" of the AiWB system by conducting standardized daily site walks, capturing and uploading accurate visual construction data, maintaining site readiness, and supporting minor field tasks that help keep construction moving.

Data collection is the primary responsibility of this role and requires consistent execution, attention to detail, and strong operational discipline.

Duties / Responsibilities
  • Conduct standardized daily site walks using cameras, tablets, mobile devices, and other technology.

  • Capture and upload clear, consistent, and timely visual documentation of homes, common areas, and site conditions.

  • Verify that required data has been successfully uploaded and is usable within AiWB systems.

  • Identify and report missing information, inconsistencies, or gaps in construction data.

  • Maintain a dedicated daily data-capture period focused exclusively on collecting and uploading construction information.

  • Open, access, and secure homes and units as required throughout the workday.

  • Maintain jobsite cleanliness, organization, accessibility, and safety in support of Closer. Cleaner. Safer. (CCS) standards.

  • Perform minor field support and micro-tasks that help prevent construction delays, including:

    • Minor punch-list items.

    • Basic safety corrections.

    • Temporary installations.

    • Site preparation and cleanup.

    • Other non-trade-specific tasks generally requiring less than 15 minutes.

  • Identify larger construction or trade-specific issues and elevate them to the appropriate Superintendent or construction leader.

  • Support Builders and Superintendents with appropriate onsite operational needs while maintaining data-capture priorities.

  • Learn and effectively use AiWB construction technology, applications, and field tools.

  • Provide observations and feedback that may improve field processes, data quality, and system effectiveness.

  • Maintain equipment, including cameras, mobile devices, drones, robotic equipment, or other technology assigned to the role.

  • Perform daily end-of-day site walkthroughs to ensure homes are secure, equipment is stored, and the site is ready for the following day.

The above listing represents the general duties considered essential functions of the job and is not intended to be a detailed description of every work requirement inherent in the position. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
