Position Summary

The GOR Group is seeking a Project Executive
on behalf of our client to lead, coordinate, and deliver multiple large-scale, mission-critical data center projects. This senior leadership role is accountable for overall project performance, client relationships, team development, and business results.

The Project Executive partners closely with Construction Executives, General Superintendents, Preconstruction, and project teams to deliver excellence in safety, quality, schedule, and financial performance. This leader will guide pursuit strategies, develop high-performing teams, and strengthen our client's position as a trusted partner in the data center and mission-critical market.

Key Responsibilities Project Leadership & Delivery Oversight
  • Lead multiple data center projects, ensuring alignment with our client's safety, quality, schedule, and cost standards.
  • Provide strategic direction across all project phases, including preconstruction, execution, commissioning, and closeout.
  • Help project teams resolve complex cost, schedule, quality, and risk management challenges.
  • Conduct regular project reviews and audits to assess financial accuracy, schedule adherence, and team performance.
Data Center Strategy & Mission-Critical Execution
  • Oversee the successful delivery of hyperscale, enterprise, and colocation data centers.
  • Guide the integration of complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, including electrical distribution, cooling infrastructure, redundancy systems, and commissioning requirements.
  • Partner with General Superintendents and MEP leaders to develop execution strategies that support uptime, facility performance, and client expectations.
  • Align design, construction, and commissioning activities to support seamless project turnover.
Preconstruction & Pursuit Leadership
  • Lead pursuit strategies and support the identification and securing of new data center opportunities.
  • Partner with Business Development, Marketing, and Preconstruction teams on proposals, estimating, and client presentations.
  • Apply strong conceptual estimating capabilities and a thorough understanding of mission-critical cost drivers.
  • Lead contract negotiations with owners and trade partners to mitigate risk and optimize project outcomes.
Financial Performance & Risk Management
  • Own financial performance across assigned projects, including forecasting, reporting, and profitability.
  • Guide project teams on buyout strategies, subcontractor selection, and cost management.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks in alignment with contract requirements and company objectives.
  • Develop strategies to enhance fee opportunities and improve financial outcomes.
Client Leadership & Business Development
  • Develop and manage senior‑level client relationships within the data center and mission‑critical market.
  • Foster long‑term partnerships with clients, design teams, and trade partners.
  • Drive client satisfaction and repeat business through consistent project delivery and proactive communication.
  • Represent our client as a trusted advisor in the delivery of complex construction projects.
Team Leadership & Talent Development
  • Attract, lead, coach, and develop Project Managers, Superintendents, and project support staff.
  • Build and scale teams capable of delivering complex data center projects in a high‑growth environment.
  • Create a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Support leadership development and succession planning.
Operational Excellence & Innovation
  • Promote consistent use of company resources and best practices, including virtual design and construction (VDC), Lean construction, sustainability, and prefabrication.
  • Drive adoption of construction methods and technologies that improve efficiency and project outcomes.
  • Ensure consistent execution of company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
Safety, Quality & Culture
  • Champion our client's safety‑first culture and drive strong safety performance across all projects.
  • Ensure quality standards and inspection processes are consistently implemented.
  • Model our client's values, culture, and leadership expectations.
