Construction Superintendent - Cold Storage/Food Processing

Our client is a nationally recognized general contractor specializing in the design and construction of complex facilities—including cold storage warehouses, refrigerated distribution centers, and food & beverage processing plants. They deliver operationally critical environments with precision, quality, and speed.

Position Overview

Seeking a Traveling Construction Superintendent with deep experience leading cold storage or food processing construction projects from the field. This individual will be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations, supervising subcontractors, enforcing safety protocols, and driving project delivery from groundbreaking through closeout—wherever the project takes you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all onsite construction activities with a strong focus on schedule, safety, and quality
  • Lead and coordinate subcontractors and vendors across all phases of construction
  • Interpret and enforce construction documents, specifications, and technical standards
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure alignment
  • Ensure compliance with all jobsite safety regulations (OSHA and internal standards)
  • Maintain detailed daily field reports and project documentation
  • Act as the face of the company onsite, representing our commitment to excellence
Qualifications
  • 5+ years as a Superintendent in commercial or industrial construction
  • Direct experience with cold storage, refrigerated warehouses, or food processing facilities is required
  • Strong understanding of MEP coordination, refrigeration systems, and insulated metal panel installation
  • OSHA 30 Certification preferred
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple trades onsite
  • Willingness and ability to travel to project sites
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships onsite
