Director Of Construction
Associate's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. At least 5 years of construction experience, including 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role. OSHA 30 certification. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and contracting practices. Proven ability to manage multiple projects, solve problems, and lead teams. Proficient with Microsoft Office and general computer/data entry tasks.
Experience with project estimating, bidding, and change order management.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent customer service skills.
The Director of Construction oversees utility construction projects and leads day-to-day operations. This role is responsible for managing projects, crews, equipment, budgets, and subcontractors while ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and within budget. The Director works closely with field teams, company leadership, and customers.
Manage utility construction projects from start to finish. Schedule crews, assign work, and oversee job performance and quality. Support hiring and maintain employee documentation. Promote and enforce safe work practices. Track project costs, labor, equipment, and materials. Review blueprints, drawings, contracts, and project specifications. Coordinate and manage subcontractors. Oversee company vehicles, equipment, and personnel. Attend meetings with leadership, customers, and project teams.
Ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
