Role Description

The Development Site Superintendent is a full-time, on-site role based in Dallas, TX, responsible for overseeing day-to-day construction activities in mission-critical data center projects. This role coordinates subcontractors and vendors, monitors job progress, and ensures that all work meets MCIS quality, safety, and schedule requirements. The Superintendent conducts regular site inspections, enforces safety protocols, and resolves field issues in collaboration with project managers, engineers, and client representatives.

The role includes reviewing drawings and specifications, maintaining detailed site documentation, and supporting client turnover activities and punch list completion. The Superintendent will also contribute to continuous improvement of construction processes, helping deliver projects on time and within budget while maintaining strong client relationships.

Qualifications
  • Experience overseeing construction projects in mission-critical or data center environments, with a strong focus on safety, schedule, and quality control.
  • Proficiency in interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and submittals, and coordinating trades for systems such as raised flooring, containment, and security installations.
  • Strong site management skills, including daily supervision of crews, progress tracking, issue resolution, and detailed documentation of field activities.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with clients, general contractors, vendors, and internal project teams.
  • Familiarity with construction scheduling tools and basic project management software; ability to use digital tools for reporting and documentation.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and other relevant safety regulations, with a proven record of enforcing safe work practices on active job sites.
  • Prior experience in data center, industrial, or commercial construction; mission-critical experience is strongly preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is beneficial.
  • Ability to work on-site full-time in Dallas, TX, including occasional extended hours to meet project milestones.
