Delaware Valley Paving is expanding into the Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas market and is seeking an experienced Concrete Superintendent to lead field operations for our growing concrete division.

The Concrete Superintendent will oversee all aspects of concrete construction projects—from planning and scheduling through execution and closeout—ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget. This role will be critical in establishing and growing Delaware Valley Paving’s presence in the Dallas-Fort Worth market while maintaining our standards for quality, safety, and field performance.

The ideal candidate brings extensive hands‑on experience in concrete construction, strong field leadership skills, and the ability to effectively manage crews, subcontractors, and multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities Field Operations & Project Execution
  • Oversee all phases of concrete construction projects, including layout, forming, pouring, finishing, and curing
  • Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with plans and specifications
  • Develop and manage project schedules, manpower planning, and daily production goals
  • Coordinate closely with Project Managers to align field operations with project timelines and budgets
  • Plan and coordinate equipment, materials, labor, and subcontractor needs to maintain efficient production
Team & Site Management
  • Supervise field personnel, including Foremen, Operators, Laborers, and subcontractors
  • Allocate manpower, equipment, and resources effectively across multiple projects
  • Maintain a strong on‑site presence and provide consistent leadership and direction to field crews
  • Hold crews accountable for productivity, workmanship, safety, and project expectations
  • Enforce company policies, safety standards, and quality expectations across all job sites
Quality Control & Safety
  • Ensure all work meets Delaware Valley Paving’s quality standards and client expectations
  • Monitor workmanship for compliance with plans, specifications, and industry best practices
  • Enforce OSHA requirements and company safety protocols on all job sites
  • Conduct regular site inspections and immediately address deficiencies, safety concerns, or quality issues
  • Promote a strong culture of safety, accountability, and quality throughout field operations
Coordination & Communication
  • Interface professionally with inspectors, general contractors, engineers, architects, clients, and other project stakeholders
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, deliveries, and equipment to support timely project execution
  • Communicate project progress, production, challenges, and schedule updates to Project Managers and company leadership
  • Assist in resolving field issues, scheduling conflicts, change orders, and unforeseen project conditions
  • Represent Delaware Valley Paving professionally with customers and industry partners throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth market
Cost Control & Problem Solving
  • Monitor job costs, field productivity, labor hours, equipment utilization, and material usage
  • Identify and address inefficiencies that may impact project schedules or profitability
  • Work with Project Managers to maintain production goals and control project costs
  • Support the coordination and management of subcontractor work as needed
  • Assist in evaluating change orders and field-driven cost impacts
  • Proactively identify potential project challenges and implement solutions before they impact production
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in concrete construction required
  • Proven experience in a Concrete Superintendent, General Superintendent, or Concrete Foreman leadership role
