The Opportunity:

Join a leading real estate organization focused on developing quality, attainable residential communities across Texas. This opportunity places you at the center of new home construction, overseeing multiple homes from permitting through closing while coordinating trades, vendors, home buyers, and internal teams. As a Construction Manager, you will play a key role in delivering homes on schedule, within budget, and to consistently high quality standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the construction of multiple single-family homes across assigned communities from start to completion.
  • Coordinate contractors, subcontractors, inspections, buyer walk-throughs, and construction activities to maintain schedules and quality standards.
  • Ensure homes are completed on time and within budget while monitoring expenses, material usage, and waste.
  • Review plans, specifications, contracts, and start packages, and communicate take-off errors or material issues to Purchasing.
  • Conduct regular jobsite walks and maintain clean, organized, safe, and professional communities.
  • Build strong, fair relationships with trades, vendors, home buyers, New Home Consultants, and internal stakeholders.
  • Lead pre-construction, pre-drywall, pre-settlement, and sign-off meetings, including required buyer communications.
  • Maintain accurate house files, complete warranty documentation, manage signage, and support scheduled closings.
Must-Have

Skills:
  • Experience managing residential or single-family home construction projects from start to finish.
  • Thorough understanding of construction plans, specifications, contracts, regulations, and architectural or engineering drawings.
  • Strong knowledge of contractor and subcontractor coordination, scheduling, quality control, and jobsite safety.
  • Excellent time management, organization, multitasking, and prioritization skills.
  • Strong decision-making, problem-solving, conflict-resolution, and negotiation abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional, customer-focused demeanor.
  • Proficiency with basic computer systems and Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, respond to delays or emergencies, and remain flexible in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to traverse active jobsites in varying weather conditions and lift up to 50 pounds.
Nice-to-Have

Skills:
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in homebuilding, construction, or a related field.
  • Experience overseeing multiple homes across several communities.
  • Knowledge of warranty processes, homebuyer orientations, and residential closing procedures.
  • Experience supporting diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace environments.
  • Previous experience working with production homebuilders, residential developers, or build-to-rent communities.
