We will be expanding our team in the DFW market in 2026 and seek a seasoned Site Construction Superintendent to lead our field operations.
Position SummaryThe Site Construction General Superintendent will oversee all field operations for one or more site-work projects (up to $10M) from mobilization through completion.
You’ll be responsible for scheduling, budgets, quality, safety, subcontractor coordination, resource management, and stakeholder communications.
You serve as the on-site leader to ensure projects are executed efficiently, safely, and to the company’s standards, and as a General Superintendent responsible for managing other projects managed by Job Foremen.
Compensation$96,500 - $110,500
Qualifications- Minimum 7-10 years of superintendent experience in site work or civil construction (i.e., grading, utilities, paving).
- Demonstrated experience managing large site-work projects in the DFW region.
- Strong leadership, communication, and subcontractor management skills.
- Proficient in reading plans, specs, and construction documents; able to interpret drawings and manage field operations accordingly.
- Excellent scheduling, cost-control, and problem-solving abilities.
- Itinerary: typical requirement is being on-site full-time; occasional travel within the Metroplex.
- Proficiency with construction software (e.g., Procore, Plan Grid, MS Project, and MS Office) is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license; able to get to/around job sites across DFW.
- Safety certifications (OSHA 30, TWIC, etc.) preferred.
- Lead and manage field crews, subcontractors, and equipment for earthworks, utilities, grading, storm drainage, paving, site concrete, and site finishing activities.
- Ensure daily operations align with the project schedule and proactively identify/resolve delays or bottlenecks.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, inspectors, local agencies, and clients.
- Enforce strict safety protocols, maintain incident logs, and promote a safety-first culture.
- Monitor jobsite budget, labor hours, equipment usage, and materials; report variances and propose corrective action.
- Review project plans, specifications, RFIs, change orders, and submittals; ensure compliance in the field.
- Conduct daily / weekly toolbox talks, jobsite meetings, inspections, and progress reporting.
- Maintain accurate jobsite documentation: daily reports, logs, photos, manpower records, subcontractor compliance, etc.
- Mentor and develop field supervisors and project foremen; promote workforce development.
