A leading employee-owned electrical contractor is looking to add an experienced Electrical Project Manager to its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to lead complex commercial and industrial electrical projects valued up to $10M while working for a company that invests heavily in its employees' success and long-term career growth.
Responsibilities- Provide overall leadership and management for electrical construction projects from pre-construction through closeout
- Partner with Superintendents to ensure successful project execution, safety, quality, schedule, and budget performance
- Review and manage contract scope, project deliverables, and client expectations
- Develop project plans, staffing strategies, schedules, and performance objectives
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, general contractors, and subcontractors
- Negotiate and administer subcontracts and purchase agreements
- Oversee project financial performance, including forecasting, cost control, billing, and collections
- Manage project schedules and ensure milestones are achieved on time
- Identify and mitigate project risks while implementing corrective actions when required
- Drive profitability through change order management and additional work opportunities
- Ensure project documentation and reporting comply with contractual and company requirements
- Lead project meetings and provide regular updates to stakeholders
- Mentor and develop Assistant Project Managers and other project staff
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Science, or related field preferred
- 5-10 years of electrical construction project management experience
- Strong understanding of construction operations, project finances, scheduling, procurement, and contract management
- Proven experience managing projects up to $10M in value
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills
- Experience with cost control, forecasting, change order management, and negotiations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software
- OSHA 30 Certification or ability to obtain within six months of hire
- Ability to lead multiple stakeholders while maintaining project profitability and client satisfaction
