Job Description & How to Apply Below

Join an exciting new character-driven comedy-drama series as an onsite videographer in Dallas. This project offers the opportunity to collaborate on a grounded, naturalistic show that explores family tension, moral dilemmas, and the nuances of Southern Black life. The visual approach emphasizes clean, cinematic framing, warm yet realistic lighting, dialogue-focused coverage, and subtle camera movement to create an intimate, authentic atmosphere.

The tone is modern and understated, with humor emerging from real emotional conflict rather than exaggerated sitcom tropes. This role is ideal for those interested in building long-term creative partnerships, as the production company aims to develop multiple episodes and future projects.

Responsibilities
  • Capture high-quality video footage on location in Dallas for a character-driven comedy‑drama series
  • Collaborate closely with the director and creative team to achieve a cinematic, naturalistic visual style
  • Set up and operate cameras, lighting, and audio equipment to ensure clean framing and warm, realistic lighting
  • Focus on dialogue-driven scenes, employing subtle camera movement and intimate blocking
  • Adapt to evolving production needs and contribute creative input during shoots
  • Maintain organized files and assist with basic post‑production tasks as needed
  • Support a positive, collaborative environment on set
Skills and Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in videography, ideally with a portfolio or reel showcasing cinematic, narrative-driven work
  • Proficiency with professional video cameras, lighting setups, and audio recording equipment
  • Strong understanding of visual storytelling, composition, and lighting for drama/comedy genres
  • Ability to work onsite in Dallas for up to one week (required)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a collaborative mindset
  • Attention to detail and ability to adapt to creative direction
  • Interest in long-term collaboration and building a production company
  • Junior-level candidates encouraged to apply
