Part-Time Sports Clerk
The Dallas Morning News has an opening for a part-time sports clerk. This position's primary job will be to edit and format statistical information for print and digital use.
Job Responsibilities:
- Data entry of raw statistics
- Communicating with other editors so stats complement stories and fit available space
- Proofing pages for errors in headlines, stories and captions
- Occasionally answering phones and taking dictation of results or stories

- 1-3 years of journalism experience; bachelor's degree or progress toward
- Broad knowledge of sports and their statistics
- An eye for detail and accuracy
- Ability to multi-task
- Capable of performing under tight deadlines
- Ability to design pages is a plus
