Position SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pre-Press Technician to support our production operations. This role is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and optimizing customer artwork for print, signs, promotional and apparel projects. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical proficiency, professional communication, and the ability to work productively in a deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities- Generate and review proofs for accuracy prior to customer approval
- Prepare and preflight digital files to meet print production requirements
- Identify and resolve file issues related to color, layout, bleed, resolution, and font usage
- Perform imposition and layout for print production set-up
- Generate proofs for customer approval
- Collaborate with internal teams, including design, customer service, and production
- Maintain organized file management and adhere to established production procedures
- Prior experience in pre-press or graphic design is required
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Acrobat, Illustrator, Photoshop)
- Strong understanding of PDF workflows, RIP systems, and print/sign industry standards
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines with a high level of urgency and accuracy
