Position Description
The Department of Endodontics, College of Dentistry at Texas A&M University invites applications for one full-time, non-tenure track Academic Professional Track position with a 11-month academic appointment with anticipated start date of May 2025.
Applicants will be considered for the faculty titles of Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, and Clinical Professor, depending on qualifications.
Responsibilities for this position include clinical supervision in both the pre-doctoral and post-doctoral clinics; participation in the post-graduate clinical treatment planning seminars; clinical coverage in the extramural clinics associated with Texas A&M University College of Dentistry; student mentoring at the pre-doctoral and post-graduate levels. The applicant is also expected to participate in the Department’s research and service responsibilities as assigned.
QualificationsThe successful candidate must have earned a DMD/DDS or equivalent degree.
Candidates must have advanced training in Endodontics. Preference will be given to those who are Board eligible or Board-certified with the American Board of Endodontics.
Candidate must be Eligible for licensure in Texas.

This is a 100% FTE position focusing 80% on teaching, 10% on service and 10% on research. The successful candidate will be expected to report to the Department of Endodontics Head and duties will include coordinating clinical activities, supervising patient care, participating in predoctoral/graduate didactic and clinical teaching, evaluating dental students, supervision of graduate students’ clinical progress and performance and regular counseling of students.
The faculty member will be expected to participate in the department’s research endeavors including those of the graduate students.
