DENTAL PATIENT CARE COORDINATOR

The Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) is to ensure patient satisfaction and outstanding patient customer service.

They are the liaison between the provider (Doctor and/or Hygienist) and the patient. They are knowledgeable about all scopes of dentistry and treatment options. They will coordinate as needed with other offices who share in the care of the patient, following through on all referrals and correspondence. They are responsible for scheduling, patient account management, and payments. They must be able to effectively communicate.

The number one responsibility of all employees is meeting patient needs and patient care. The responsibilities listed below must be accomplished daily, weekly, and monthly. Additional responsibilities may be required.

Qualifications
  • 2+ Years of Experience in the Dental Field
Duties And Responsibilities
  • Support all aspects of the dental office
  • Greet patients upon arrival
  • Manage schedules according to appointment schedule guidelines
  • Present and review treatment plan fees and payment options with patients
  • Organize and maintain case acceptance of 90% compliance rate
  • Maintain quick call system to maintain scheduling efficiency and effectiveness
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned by management
Skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Outstanding customer service and people skills, excellent phone etiquette
  • Knowledge of dentistry, basic principles, and terminology
  • Good organization and multitasking skills
  • Present treatment plans, schedule patient visits, collect patient co-pays, manage the providers schedule, understand insurance breakdowns
