Position: Job Captain

Overview

  • Lead technical execution of architectural projects, ensuring quality and adherence to schedules.
  • Coordinate with consultants and monitor project progress effectively.
  • Assist in construction administration tasks, including site visits and city submittals.
  • Produce record set drawings and manage shop drawing reviews.
  • Engage in collaborative meetings with coworkers, consultants, and clients.
  • Work cohesively within a team and independently on various tasks.
  • Collaborate with estimating and construction teams for project clarity.
  • Contribute to team goals and firm-wide improvements.
  • Adhere to and enforce quality control procedures throughout project phases.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
  • Manage workload against project schedules and ensure timely delivery.
  • Coordinate external consultants and monitor their contributions to projects.
  • Handle construction administration tasks, including RFIs and submittals.
  • Participate actively in internal and external meetings for project discussions.
  • Ensure effective document coordination and clarity during bidding phases.
  • Assist in achieving team deadlines and contribute to group objectives.
  • Travel to job sites for inspections and project updates.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve firm-wide processes.
  • Maintain quality control standards across all project documentation.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Architecture (B.Arch.) degree required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in architectural project management.
  • Proficiency in construction document production and administration tasks.
  • Strong ability to coordinate with consultants and manage workflows.
  • Experience in shop drawing reviews and RFI responses preferred.
  • Effective collaboration skills within a team-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of quality control procedures and adherence to standards.
  • Willingness to travel to job sites as required.
  • Mid-level experience in architectural project execution and management.
