We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Lead Interior Designer to join our growing team.
Position SummaryThe Lead Interior Designer plays a key role in executing residential design projects, supporting client relationships, mentoring team members, and ensuring projects are delivered with a high level of quality and attention to detail. This position works closely with the Operations team and project stakeholders to bring exceptional homes to life.
Key Responsibilities- Support execution of the interior design process and manage team workflow under the direction of the Senior Interior Designer
- Develop and present cohesive design concepts, selections, and design boards
- Curate FF&E selections including furniture, lighting, plumbing, cabinetry, hardware, paint, trim, countertops, and finish materials
- Assist in guiding projects from concept through implementation while maintaining design excellence
- Support client communication and presentations throughout the project lifecycle
- Participate in client meetings, revisions, and design approvals
- Track project hours relative to budgets and timelines
- Coordinate project deliverables and assist with invoicing coordination as needed
- Help ensure a seamless and elevated client experience
- Develop finish schedules and design documentation for builder coordination
- Collaborate with architects, drafters, builders, vendors, and sales representatives
- Conduct site visits as needed to verify design intent and answer project-related questions
- Support coordination between design, construction, and procurement teams
- Oversee and assign drafting-related tasks
- Mentor and support Interior Designers by reviewing work and providing feedback
- Maintain communication with Operations regarding project priorities, workloads, and team bandwidth
- Help ensure projects stay aligned with timelines and Senior Designer direction
- Ensure timely completion of project documentation and milestone deadlines
- Identify opportunities to improve design processes and workflows
- Maintain quality standards consistent with Creative Director expectations
- Support the development and implementation of department standards, procedures, and best practices Qualifications
- 3+ years of residential interior design experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of residential construction, finishes, and specifications
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent client communication and presentation skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality
- Collaborative mindset and desire to mentor and support team members
- Work on luxury custom homes, renovations, and high-end residential projects
