MESA is seeking a talented Landscape Architect with 6-10 years of professional experience to join our award‑winning team in Dallas. This position offers the opportunity to lead diverse and impactful projects, collaborate directly with clients and firm leadership, and guide designs from initial concept through construction.

The RoleThis position is ideal for a motivated professional who combines strong design talent with proven project management and leadership skills. You will play an integral role in all phases of project delivery, working closely with clients, consultants, and internal teams to develop innovative design solutions and ensure successful project implementation.
At MESA, you will have the opportunity to lead projects from vision to reality—guiding work through planning, design development, construction documentation, bidding, and construction observation while helping mentor the next generation of designers.
Responsibilities- Lead the planning, design, and implementation of landscape architecture projects from concept through construction
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and client expectations while maintaining design excellence
- Direct and coordinate multidisciplinary teams, consultants, and subconsultants
- Supervise and mentor design staff, providing guidance and quality control throughout project development
- Prepare and oversee production of construction document packages, including hardscape, planting, irrigation, landscape lighting, water features, grading coordination, and construction details
- Develop project specifications and assist with bidding and contractor coordination
- Participate in construction observation and implementation oversight
- Collaborate directly with clients and participate in presentations, meetings, and project pursuits
- Assist with proposal preparation, fee development, and business development efforts
- Contribute creative design solutions and compelling graphic presentations throughout all project phases
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited university
- 6-10 years of professional experience in landscape architecture and project management
- Strong design skills and attention to detail
- Exceptional graphic communication skills, including both hand graphics and digital presentation techniques
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Extensive knowledge of construction methodologies, detailing, and implementation
- Experience leading project teams while supervising and mentoring staff
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines and budget requirements
- Experience working directly with clients and consultants
- Experience preparing proposals and participating in project pursuits
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch Up, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with master planning, urban design, mixed-use, and community development projects is preferred
- A full-time position with half-day Fridays
