BKV Group seeks a talented Project Manager I with 8-12+ years of architecture and project management experience to join our team. We are looking for someone with well-rounded architectural experience with a focus on Senior Living and/or Student Living project types. Supported by BKV’s Senior Living and Student Living Practice Leaders, you will lead a variety of projects and guide project teams through all phases of design and documentation.
Open to Senior Project Architect candidates stepping into a Project Management role.
- Work with the Managing Partner/Practice Leader and/or Senior Project Manager in preparing fee letters, fee scenarios and contracts.
- Determine the project scope, schedule, and design team budgets. Maintain identified deadlines and budgets on assigned projects.
- Create a work plan and complete weekly staff scheduling to uphold project budgets and deadlines.
- Work with the team to comply with client design criteria, manage updates, and disseminate them to all disciplines throughout the design and documentation process.
- Prepare and oversee contract documents for issuance. Implement design and production drawings with limited involvement in Revit, directing project team members working directly in Revit on drawings and specification documents.
- Maintain regular communication with the client, the Managing Partner, and project team members, including chairing project phase kickoff meetings, weekly team meetings, and quality assurance page flip meetings. Provide timely communication and guidance to all disciplines and consultants.
- Record project scope changes and prepare additional services for tracking and issuance to the client as directed by the Managing Partner.
- Provide mentoring to the project team.
- Responsibly manage the overall contractual fee and budgets throughout the project, coordinating with discipline leads and team members.
- Ensure quality assurance/technical reviews are implemented as part of the overall delivery process. May provide internal quality peer reviews of projects not under direct control.
- Adhere to the BKV Code Policy, working with the BKV Code Specialist to review and document code review requirements and meet with the authority having jurisdiction to obtain review and approval for code compliance.
- Collaborate with the project team and BKV Discipline Directors to support construction services and ensure design intent during construction.
- Professional registration preferred.
- Proficient with Revit, Adobe, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- LEED AP optional.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and the general public.
Compensation range: $115,000 – $130,000 annually, or commensurate with experience.
