AEB Strategic Talent, a firm specializing in AEC Recruiting and HR Consulting, is partnering with an award-winning destination and hospitality architectural design firm to search for a Senior Architectural Designer who specializes in high-end hospitality, gaming + entertainment, urban + mixed-use, and high-end residential design. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both the creative and technical sides of architecture and wants to be involved from early concept through construction completion.

The firm is employee-owned, has offices in Atlantic City, California, Dallas, New York, Honolulu, London, Singapore, and Shanghai, and has over 500 employees.

ROLE

The Senior Project Designer leads the design and delivery of mid-size to large-scale architectural projects from concept through design development. This role is responsible for establishing project design direction, overseeing documentation quality, and ensuring projects align with client goals, budgets, and schedules. Working closely with Project Managers and Project Architects, the Senior Project Designer leads multidisciplinary teams, develops innovative design solutions, manages client relationships, and drives successful project execution across all phases.

Key responsibilities include leading multiple project teams, maintaining quality control standards, mentoring and developing staff, coordinating project communication, and supporting business development efforts. The ideal candidate is a strong design leader with experience balancing creativity, project management, client engagement, and team leadership in a collaborative studio environment.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Professional degree from an appropriate accredited institution
  • 15+ years of experience in the hospitality design of mid-size to large architectural projects, including urban and resort hotels
  • Licensure and/or professional certification as appropriate
  • Proficiency in software skills, including Revit, Rhino, Grasshopper, and Sketch‑Up
  • Sketching skills required
  • Experienced in client management, project management, and negotiations
  • Ability to work in a team environment and supervise and motivate others
  • Ability to meet deadlines consistently and effectively
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication
  • Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills to effectively communicate design concepts
  • Highly effective management and leadership skills and the ability to manage multiple project priorities while consistently achieving results
