UX​/UI Product Designer; Mobile & Connected Products

Position Overview

Élan Partners is partnering with an innovative technology organization to identify a Senior Product Designer (UX/UI) to help shape the next generation of connected mobile and hardware experiences. This role is ideal for a designer who enjoys solving complex user challenges through thoughtful, intuitive design. You'll lead the user experience for products that seamlessly integrate mobile applications with connected hardware, collaborating closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to deliver experiences that are not only functional but engaging and intuitive.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of UX/UI Product Design experience designing enterprise and consumer-facing digital products, with a portfolio showcasing mobile applications, design systems, and end-to-end product experiences. This individual is equally comfortable conducting user research, mapping customer journeys, building wireframes and interactive prototypes, and delivering polished, high-fidelity designs. Experience designing products that interact with connected devices, IoT solutions, or hardware ecosystems is highly desirable.

• 5+ years of Product Design, UX/UI Design, or Interaction Design experience.
• Portfolio demonstrating successful mobile application and product design work.
• Experience designing native Android and iOS applications.
• Advanced proficiency with Figma, including prototyping and design systems.
• Strong understanding of:

  • Wire framing
  • Interactive prototyping
  • Accessibility standards
• Experience collaborating within Agile product development environments.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities with a passion for creating exceptional user experiences.

• Experience designing products that integrate with IoT devices, smart products, wearables, or connected hardware ecosystems.
• Experience designing for hardware‑enabled mobile experiences.
• Familiarity with:

  • Hardware/software integration
• Experience conducting user research and usability testing.
• Experience partnering with Engineering through implementation.

• UX/UI design efforts for cross‑platform B2B and B2C mobile applications integrated with connected hardware products.
• Translate user research and business requirements into intuitive user flows, journey maps, wireframes, prototypes, and production‑ready designs.
• Create high‑fidelity user interfaces that balance usability, functionality, and visual consistency.
• Develop, maintain, and evolve scalable Figma‑based design systems and reusable component libraries.
• Partner closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and Marketing teams throughout the product lifecycle.
• Ensure designs are technically feasible while meeting business objectives and user needs.
• Advocate for accessibility, responsive design, usability, and consistency across all digital experiences.
• Contribute to long‑term product experience strategy and continuous product improvement.
• Stay current on emerging UX trends, mobile interaction patterns, and hardware‑integrated user experiences.
