Position: Design Contractor (Temporary)

At Mizzen+Main, we believe that what we wear to work reflects how we think about work. Our clothes are designed to be comfortable, breathable, and flexible, enabling people to move, think, and work with ease.

Founded in 2012, Mizzen+Main is a premium men’s brand rooted in performance fabrics and tailored silhouettes. We operate across e‑commerce, retail stores, and wholesale partners nationwide, with our headquarters in Dallas, Texas.

About the Role

As a Design Contractor, you will translate creative concepts into precise technical packages, bridging the gap between vision and manufacturing to preserve our signature fit and quality across all categories. This is a temporary contractor position (~3 months) supporting our design team.

Responsibilities
  • Create detailed, accurate flat sketches and CADs using Adobe Illustrator.
  • Manage the PLM system: enter data, create tech packs, and maintain BOM (Bill of Materials) within WFX.
  • Collaborate across platforms using Google Workspace (Sheets, Drive, Slides) to manage design trackers, line plans, and feedback loops.
  • Support the design team in refining silhouettes, selecting trims, and ensuring all technical specifications meet brand standards.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Illustrator for technical apparel flats.
  • Experience with WFX (World Fashion Exchange) or a comparable high‑level PLM system.
  • Strong organization skills using Google Workspace (Sheets/Docs) for data management and collaborative CAD sharing.
  • Solid understanding of garment construction, performance fabrics, and the Mizzen+Main fit.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.

As set forth in Mizzen+Main’s Equal Employment Opportunity policy, we do not discriminate on the basis of any protected group status under any applicable law.
