About the Opportunity
We are partnering with a highly stable, long-standing experiential marketing and exhibit design firm in the North Dallas area to find a precision-focused AutoCAD Detailer. In this role, you will produce detailed construction and set-up drawings for dynamic trade show exhibits and displays. You will work across a wide range of projects in a fast-paced environment, ensuring every detail reflects the most cost-effective and buildable solution from end to end.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Drafting: Prepare detailed construction drawings, floor plans, and cut lists for tradeshow exhibits, carefully specifying materials, finishes, joinery, and hardware.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Account Executives, Designers, Project Managers, and Production staff to ensure constructible, cost-effective solutions and assist with continuous value engineering.
Fabrication Coordination: Work directly with fabricators to resolve constructability issues and account for modularity, crating, and shipping requirements specific to the events industry.
Project Management: Maintain accurate daily detailing schedules, proactively flag any anticipated overruns, and keep strict revision control across all active projects.
What You BringExperience &
Education:
5 to 7 years of 3D AutoCAD or CAD-CAM operator experience alongside an Associate degree.
Technical Expertise: A strong understanding of physical production, cabinetry, and CNC machining, working heavily with materials like wood, laminate, metal, and acrylic.
Industry Knowledge: Previous trade show or exhibit design experience is highly preferred, along with familiarity with modular systems, CNC nesting, and local ADA or fire codes.
Soft SkillsStrong conflict resolution, multitasking, and communication skills to thrive in a deadline-driven environment.
