Virtual Design & Construction Manager

Evans General Contractors is seeking a VDC Manager to lead regional construction technology implementation and project-specific BIM coordination for complex industrial and technical projects. Based in Dallas, this leadership role is responsible for managing all aspects of VDC workflows—supporting preconstruction, field operations, and trade partner integration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct overall BIM strategy and coordination across multiple projects in various stages of design and construction
• Oversee the development of 3D site logistics plans, renderings, 4D schedules, and model-based quantity takeoffs
• Lead communication with project teams, designers, and trade partners to ensure alignment on coordination milestones and modeling requirements
• Supervise model-based submittal reviews and ensure shop drawings reflect coordinated conditions
• Provide model QA/QC, clash detection oversight, and issue management using ACC workflows
• Support and implement innovation initiatives including drone photogrammetry, laser scanning, and digital as-built integration
• Mentor assistant VDC staff and manage collaboration with external partners
• Promote continuous improvement of modeling standards, automation, and technology applications

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of BIM/VDC experience in commercial, industrial, or mission-critical sectors
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
• Expertise in Revit, Navisworks, Synchro 4D, ACC, AutoCAD, Lumion, and point cloud workflows
• Proven leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to develop innovative VDC strategies and foster strong team culture
