Salary Range: $70,000.00 To $77,000.00 Annually

We are looking for a technically strong, design-forward Associate Designer to support and develop products across hardlines categories, including lighting, accent furniture, décor and seasonal accessories, with opportunity to flex into other categories as needed. This role plays an essential part in translating creative concepts into production-ready products. You will lead the development of detailed tech packs, specifications, and construction documentation, ensuring every material, measurement, and structural element is thoughtful and accurate.
The Associate Designer operates within a fast-paced, highly collaborative workflow led by a lead designer overseeing Lighting and Décor. This role manages a high volume of projects at once, making strong project management, prioritization, and precision critical to success. Responsibilities- Develop and present unique and innovative design concepts across hardlines that embody the Lulu and Georgia brand, while meeting defined assortment, pricing and sourcing requirements
- Develop and execute detailed, vendor-ready tech packs across hardlines, including lighting, accent furniture, décor and seasonal, with potential to flex into additional product categories as needed
- Manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining timelines and documentation accuracy
- Translate design concepts into clear specifications, including materials, finishes, dimensions, and construction details
- Ensure all products reflect thoughtful ergonomics, scale, structural integrity, and manufacturing feasibility
- Create or support 3D models and renderings to communicate design intent
- Partner closely with Product Development, Sourcing, Merchandising, and vendors to ensure smooth execution
- Maintain organized records of revisions, approvals, and product updates within a structured workflow
- 2-4 years of experience in product design, industrial design, furniture design, or a related hardlines field
- Strong experience creating detailed tech packs and technical drawings for production
- Deep understanding of materials, construction methods, and manufacturing processes across hard goods
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with exceptional attention to detail
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Confident project management and prioritization abilities
- Proficiency in 3D modeling tools for detailed product development (Rhino 3D preferred)
- Experience using Key Shot for high-quality renderings and visual presentations
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and In Design
- Utilization of AI tools for design visualization (Google Gemini, Midjourney, etc)
- Strong file organization and version control practices
